Their first hello wasn’t good.
Bruno Mars, who co-wrote Adele’s “All I Ask,” admitted the singer took the reigns when they started working on the song.
“She walks into the studio and she’s got all this attitude. She’s a diva. She’s like, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t like that,’” Mars said in a radio interview with Cubby & Carolina in the Morning.
“Then, as soon as we hit a couple chords that she liked, we started rolling — and that’s where we got that song from.”
In spite of the strong impression, the 28-year-old songstress wowed Mars over with her killer vocals and her passion.
“She’s incredible. There was a moment when she was singing in the booth — I’m not exaggerating at all — and the water was vibrating. Like, you know, that scene in ‘Jurassic Park?’” the 31-year-old singer enthused. “She’s got some pipes on her, and she’s just a superstar.”
Adele told i-D in 2015 she did in fact perform with a certain fervor when Mars joined her in the recording studio.
“We were gonna make something cool, but then we were just having too much fun,” she said. “I’ve never sung so hard in my life. Can you imagine the fun me and Bruno had making that?”
When asked if he’d perform “All I Ask” with Adele, Mars admitted he’s simply waiting on the invitation.
“I don’t know what she’s waiting on, man,” he joked. “I’m like, ‘Come on, Adele!’ Like, send an email. Let me know!”

After such a rewarding experience with the “Hello” singer, Mars admitted their were no shortage of people he’d like to collaborate with in the future.
“I haven’t done a song with Beyonce,” he said, noting he’d also like to work with Rihanna and pretty much anyone else who may be interested.
“It’s a job fair,” he joked
