Senators Gbenga Ashafa and Ben Murray-Bruce have kicked against the planned increase in the price of data bundle by telecommunication companies which is to take effect from tomorrow December 1st. The board of the National Communications Commission had in a letter sent to telecommunication companies, directed them to increase the price of their data bundles with effect from tomorrow.
The commission in the letter, stated that the increase was to get the communication companies to have a flat rate for data bundles and also for very healthy and sustainable competition amongst them. Ben Murray-Bruce and Ashafa however argue that there are better ways to make the telecommuication companies run unified data bundle price without increasing it.
