Paul Pogba has revealed that former boss Sir Alex Ferguson remains one of the biggest influences on his career despite their high profile falling out.
A then 18-year-old Pogba turned his back on Manchester United in 2011 following Ferguson's decision not to play him in a New Year's Eve defeat by Blackburn.
A war of words followed with Ferguson claiming the Frenchman "showed us no respect at all" with Pogba hitting back saying the legendary Scot had made a "mistake" by letting him leave Old Trafford.
"A player I always look up to is Patrice Evra. He's family, that;s how I see him, and he's always looked after me, helped me and given me advice.
"He's someone on the pitch who is very serious and very professional, yet away from the pitch he's a brother and someone you can have a laugh with - as you've seen on our videos on Instagram!
"He's someone very important for a football team and for a club, and as a person he's someone who can help you a lot."

Paul Pogba was part of Manchester United's academy set-up
But left in the summer of 2011

Only to return for a world record fee in 2016

But despite their differences Pogba remains thankful to his former boss for giving him his first real chance in the big time.
"You might be surprised... Nicolas Anelka, Patrice Evra, Rio Ferdinand, [Sir Alex] Ferguson as well, [Antonio} Conte," he told the United programme.
"Those people have helped me a lot to get where I am now.
