The future of Sherlock is once again uncertain with claims Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman have a "frosty relationship".
According to reports, the two stars - who have played Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson respectively across four series of the BBC detective drama - spend time apart in between shoots and haven't developed a friendship over the last six years.
A source told The Sun: "Benedict and Martin aren't mates and they don't spend time together away from the show.
Martin previously admitted while the pair "have a bit of contact" away from filming, they don't see a lot of each other - although it's nothing personal.
"We do have a bit of contact," he said. "We're not always hanging out because I'm not always hanging out with anybody."
"They're professional and very police to each other but there's not the warmth you'd expect after filming together for six yers.
There isn't a huge desire to come back for another season."
It comes after a divisive finale to season four , with the finale going out to the show's lowest-ever audience of 6.2 million on Sunday evening.
