There has been immense pressure on the road networks in Nigeria with the failure of other means of transportation like railways/trains.
This has affected the state of our roads which has been deplorable and has also contributed to accidents and loss of life’s. So many families have lost their loved ones on our roads that could have been avoided.
The Minister of Works, Housing and Power, Babatunde Fashola, yesterday disclosed that the Federal government plans to carry out repair works on 50 bridges nationwide within the next three years. Fashola disclosed this while inspecting the Rehabilitation of Lagos Ring Road Bridge abutment and approach to the Third Mainland Bridge project in Lagos.
